Sarra is a proud wife and mother, raising her family in Ross Township. Her experiences as a parent fuel her commitment to making Allegheny County a safer, stronger place for future generations. Whether attending school events or cheering from the sidelines, Sarra knows firsthand how important it is to support families and build communities.

Sarra believes that breaking harmful cycles—whether in the justice system, in families, or in communities—requires intention, compassion, and action. She has spent her career advocating for second chances, ensuring that individuals and families have access to the resources they need to heal and move forward. She carries this same dedication into her own home and community—showing up for school events, cheering from the sidelines, and reinforcing the values of fairness, resilience, and opportunity for the next generation.
